Oscar Pop!

With the Oscars only a day away, things are getting exciting. There were a lot of great movies last year, so it should be a good show. I’m still scratching my head over who to choose in some categories on my ballot, but I feel pretty good about my pick for Spotlight to upset in the Best Picture category. It has a lot of stiff competition though, with titles like The Revenant, The Big Short, and The Martian all also in contention. Not to mention a handful of others.

If you’re having trouble keeping track of all the nominees, fear not. The folks at Shutterstock created pop art-inspired posters for all of them. I think they’re hit or miss, but there are three or four that I really love, including this Warhol-esque Mad Max: Fury Road piece from Jordan Roland:

There’s even this animated Brooklyn poster from Alice Meichi Li, which doesn’t seem so much inspired by pop art, but I like it nonetheless:
