Infinite Jest, the 20th Anniversary Edition

 In Design

Last year Little, Brown and Co. asked fans to design a cover for the 20th anniversary edition of David Foster Wallace’s landmark novel, Infinite Jest. The competition, judged by a committee that included the author’s widow, Karen Green, and his editor, Michael Pietsch, has now ended and the winning cover was chosen. It comes from Cincinnati-based graphic designer, Joe Walsh.

In this interview with The Millions, Pietsch discusses the competition and Infinite Jest.

The winning cover is below, followed by some of the other designs that have covered editions of the book over the years.
